Got Questions?
Yes – the interview is included in the first day of boarding. This is necessary for us to decide if you and your pooch are interested in group play or one on one attention. We must be able to safely handle all dogs that stay with us. Any dog who demonstrates aggression towards staff or other dogs or dogs with high anxiety may be asked to seek other arrangements.

- It is preferred for the pet parent to provide their pet’s food to Pawlins, for your pet’s health. If your pet is staying less than 7 nights, please pre-package their food into meal-sized portions in ziplock bags. Do not include your pet’s medications in their food bags! For stays longer than a week, we can accommodate larger bags of food in an airtight container. Please let us know if any food needs to be refrigerated. In the event that you forget to pack your pet’s food or they run out, we will provide our house food at the cost of $3 per meal per pet.
- No need to bring your pet’s bowls – we provide stainless steel bowls as well as slow feeder bowls.
- Please bring your pet’s medications in their prescription packaging, properly labeled with the pharmacy sticker displaying the pet’s name, guardian name, prescribing veterinarian name, medication name and dosage instructions.
- We provide bedding, but feel free to bring your pet’s bedding and special toys from home if they would feel more comfortable with them! Please do not bring any oversized bedding as we will be unable to wash it should it become soiled.
If you pet gets sick or there is any medical emergency, they will be taken to River Road Veterinary Hospital (504-838-0288), our partner under our same roof, for the most immediate response possible, and you will be contacted.
