Yes. All dogs who want to join us at Pawlins must pass our interview process.

We must be able to safely handle all dogs that stay with us. Any dog who demonstrates aggression towards staff or other dogs or dogs with high anxiety may be asked to seek other arrangements.

Each interview is extensive and it is well documented by our managers and we will be able to review our findings with you. These thorough assessments allow for the best placement of your pet for both daycare and boarding. Our groups are based on size, age, breed, and temperament.
You must fill out an application on-line via the customer portal, or we will be glad to take your information over the phone.

Yes we do not allow any unspayed or unneutered dogs or cats over the age of 6 months at Pawlins.

You must provide proof from your veterinarian of Bordatella, Rabies and Distemper. FVRCP and Rabies are required for cats. For Indoor/Outdoor Cats we also require FELV.
No pet is allowed into the facility with fleas and/or ticks. If any are found on your pet, Capstar will be administered at your expense and you will be contacted.

Our cancellation policy only applies to holidays. If you need to cancel, please call us at 504-302-7200. Holiday reservations require a 50% deposit and a minimum of 3 nights. If a cancellation is made within 72 hours of a reservation, the deposit will be forfeited.

Yes, all owners should bring they their pet’s food with them for boarding stays. If their stay is less than 7 days, we request you portion out each meal into individual ziploc bags. If their stay is longer than 7 days, we can accommodate accordingly.

We administer medications at no additional charge. Please bring the medication in the original container. If your pet requires any injectable or complex medication regimens, a certified veterinary professional with River Road Animal Hospital will administer the medication for a nominal fee.

We provide all bedding, blankets, and bowls. Please feel free to bring a memento from home to ease any anxiety of a new environment. Bring any medications in the original pill container along with their food.

Of course! We encourage anyone to tour our facility. We know seeing is believing. Once you tour our luxurious facility we are sure you will want to join the Pawlins family.

If you pet gets sick or there is any medical emergency, they will be taken right next door to our neighbor and partner, River Road Veterinary Hospital (504-838-0288) for further evaluation and you will be contacted immediately.

Yes anytime your pup is in a room or yard with another one of our guests, they are always supervised by one of our staff. Also, our top-of-the-line webcam and surveillance system can give you peace of mind knowing your pup is in the best care possible.
